Rachael is a seasoned and award-winning cartographer with over 15 years of experience in the field. For over a decade she contributed her skills to National Geographic Maps, specializing in large-scale topographic mapping. Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and Avenza MAPublisher she’s excited to bring her talents to Green Goat Maps in hopes of creating visually captivating maps that inspire people to explore and appreciate the world around them.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Appalachian State University. It was during her college days that she began creating maps for a weekly educational article called “Geography in the News,” sparking her love for cartography—a field with a perfect blend of science and art.
Rachael is from Georgia, lived in Colorado for over a decade, and currently lives in North Carolina.
