Green Goat Maps partnered with the Adirondack Rail Trail Association (ARTA) to create a map and tri-fold brochure updating the public on the current status of the rail trail project. With the trail partially open, ARTA needed materials to showcase the trail’s location, completion timeline, and local businesses that support trail users. This project resulted in a detailed map of the Adirondack Rail Trail, paired with an engaging tri-fold brochure highlighting business sponsors and providing essential background information about the trail. 1,000 copies were printed, with plans for future updates and additional print runs.

To meet ARTA’s needs, Green Goat Maps was contracted to:

• Design a detailed Adirondack Rail Trail map showcasing access points, trail sections, and completion timelines.

• Develop a tri-fold brochure featuring business sponsors, trail information, and essential tips for users.

• Ensure the materials were visually appealing, easy to understand, and aligned with ARTA’s branding.

• Coordinate the printing of 1,000 copies, with a design optimized for future reprints and updates.

Challenges of This Project

The primary challenge was creating materials that effectively communicated the Adirondack Rail Trail’s technical details, such as access points, trail sections, and completion timelines, in a way that was engaging and easy to understand for a broad audience.
