Position Overview
We are looking for a Marketing Assistant who shares our enthusiasm for land trusts, maps, and outdoor recreation. This is an exciting opportunity to support both business development and marketing efforts, helping us grow partnerships with land trusts, conservation groups, and outdoor organizations while promoting our products and services.
This role blends creativity with execution: you will plan and implement marketing campaigns, engage prospective clients, support retail sales of our recreational maps, and bring fresh ideas to strengthen our relationships with land trusts and outdoor organizations. Light project coordination tasks will overlap where marketing aligns with production and client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Outreach
• Plan and execute creative email campaigns via Mailchimp, engaging land trusts, conservation partners, and outdoor recreation groups.
• Manage our social media presence by creating visually engaging content using tools like Canva.
• Support client outreach initiatives, including crafting personalized letter-writing campaigns and engaging wholesale clients for our waterproof maps.
• Develop compelling content that highlights how maps, kiosks, and mapping platforms benefit land trusts and outdoor recreation.
Business Development
• Research and identify new opportunities with land trusts, outdoor organizations, and recreational planners for our trailhead kiosks, custom cartography, and Online Maps for Land Trusts platform.
• Conduct LinkedIn outreach and lead-generation tasks to connect with potential clients and partners.
• Bring creative business development ideas to the table, exploring innovative ways to grow Green Goat Maps’ client base and impact.
Sales & Wholesale Support
• Manage relationships with retailers to sell Green Goat Maps recreational maps in outdoor retail stores, visitor centers, and gift shops.
• Identify new retail opportunities, including outreach to outdoor gear stores, tourism organizations, and other regional outlets.
• Track and manage wholesale orders, ensuring timely delivery and clear communication with clients.
• Work with the design and production team to ensure inventory and promotional needs are met.
• Collaborate on creative strategies to promote map sales, including in-store displays, trade shows, and targeted campaigns.
Sales & Relationship Support
• Build and manage wholesale relationships for Green Goat Maps’ waterproof maps with outdoor retailers and land trust partners.
• Maintain and grow our databases of client contacts and potential leads to support targeted outreach.
Project Support

Qualifications
Required Skills
• Experience in digital marketing, including social media management, email campaigns, and outreach strategies.
• Strong writing and communication skills for client engagement, outreach campaigns, and content development.
• Proficiency with graphic design tools like Canva for creating marketing visuals.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage client data and lead lists effectively.
• Experience or interest in sales, particularly wholesale and retail environments.
• Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and business development.
• Interest in land trusts, maps, and outdoor recreation.

• Experience with LinkedIn outreach and business development.
• Familiarity with GIS mapping concepts, outdoor recreational audiences, and conservation work.
• Experience using tools like Mailchimp, Google Workspace, and CRM systems.
• Prior experience in wholesale account management, particularly in outdoor or conservation industries.
